The credit of the invention can be given to Emily Borer who as the chief of the Rolex at that time. The movement of the body and the wrist makes the rotor revolve freely. Even the slight action of the wrist causes the rotor to rotate back and move forward in circular motion. Coiled spring the mainspring of automatic watch that powers the wristwatch. Automatic watch also need proper service for accurate performance. The ideal time of watch service is three to five years. Nowadays people love to wear automatic watches because they are self winding and needs no winding.
